Sophos Speech and Academics is looking for a certified Wilson Instructor with a passion for students first, and instruction second. Our instructors have the freedom to create a schedule that works for
them, and to be matched with students who fit their skill sets and expertise.

As a Wilson Certified instructor, you will work with students to help improve science based reading and phonics mastery. While our greatest need is for Wilson Certified Instructors, we invite
reading specialists to apply. Our Wilson Certified instructors are trusted experts; therefore, they have the autonomy to utilize instructional methods and curricula of their choosing. 

 What you will do:
 Work 1-on-1 with students 
 Collaborate with parents and teachers
 Communicate effectively with students, parents, teacher, and Sophos instructors
 Be available during some or most of the required times 8-2pm (M-F)
 Be able to commute to Sophos Speech and Academic’s Center, 11250 N. Tatum Blvd
 Be personable and genuinely enjoy being around children
 Be able to listen well and respond to the data provided by teachers
 Be professional and reliable
 

Requirements: 

• Wilson Reading System® Level I Certification (Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner) or higher

• Demonstrated experience implementing structured literacy intervention with fidelity

• Current Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

Job Type: Part-time or Full-Time
Salary: $35-40/hour
